Planning a trip, a regional mailing, or a local event starts with one question: who do I know there?

Compact Contacts searches postal addresses and can filter by City, State / Region, Postal Code, Country, and Street.

Quick search

  1. Type the place. Command-F, then a city, district, or postal code.
  2. Check Results from Address. Since version 1.5, address matches are grouped separately from names and Notes.
  3. Show address columns. City and Country columns make the list easy to verify.

A Smart View for a region

For repeated use, create a Smart View. Use Any condition for “City equals Istanbul or City equals Ankara”; use All conditions for “Country equals Germany and Company exists”.

The field All Addresses matches any part of any address when you are not sure which line holds the value.

Turn it into a mailing list

Export the view as CSV with address columns for a mail merge, or as vCard for another device. The export preview shows the count before anything is saved.

Important: The app does not validate whether an address is current or deliverable.

Questions people ask

Does the app use maps or location services?

No. It matches the text stored in your contacts. Open in Maps is available per address.

Are old addresses included?

Every address on the card is searched, whatever its label.

Is this available on iPad?

Yes, with the same fields and grouped results.
